Singer, Yemi Alade has warned that there is an outbreak of Lassa fever in Nigeria and has urged Nigerians to create awareness about it.

- cover food products to prevent contact with rats

Enugu Metropolitan Network has in a post urged Nigerians to follow the prevention protocol while lamenting that the government shows less concern about the the outbreak.
"It is common knowledge that this administration led by @MBuhari cannot offer anything except getting the itinerary of his numerous useless travels right", Enugu Metropolitan Network wrote.
In a bid to create awareness, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has shared materials which he urged the public to share with all family and friends.
"In 2014, Nigeria confronted and quashed the dreaded Ebola disease. The swift battle was won by careful screening and rapid isolation. Let us apply the same level of "world-class epidemiological detective work" in the case of Lassa Fever and the looming Coronavirus", he wrote.
