Kaduna State Government Bans Gas Retail Shops in Residential and High-Risk Areas with Immediate Effect

Following a gas explosion which occurred in a business premises along Kachia Road, Sabon Tasha, in Chikun local Government Area on Sunday, January 5, the Kaduna State Government has banned gas retail shops in residential and high-risk areas with immediate effect.

The unfortunate incident which led to the death of more than five people, including the Chairman, Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, Prof. Simon Mallam led to the new directive.

All retail gas refill shops operating in the said areas are hereby ordered to shut down.
